Vida interfering

Hello, I am Gabie…

Vida means life. Vida happens, and we sometimes get caught right in the middle of it. How do we do it? Who got this right?

I’m Gabie, but my name is Gabriela. This picture above is of my dad (I love this guy!), holding aracas (Ah-Rah-Sass), little fruits that we used to eat back home, in Brazil when I was young… Such a long time ago.

I feel like I am not a big deal, and that I do so much less than everybody else. Yet, my life has been nothing boring, if I spell it all out:

  • Moved to the USA when I was 19
  • Went to school in the USA
  • Left school
  • Got married
  • Had two babies
  • Became a foster parent
  • Became and adoptive mom
  • Became a US citizen
  • Went back to school (to finish my BA)
  • Finally, was diagnosed with Bipolar Type II at the age of 39

And, in the middle of all this, life was happening. Not so dull, after all!

I would like to share some of my stuff with you, and I invite you to share some of your stuff with me. Welcome to my blog!

😉 Gabie
